Creating an application on SQL server 2005 Express that will be migrated to SQL Server

I have several general questions about this but I thought I would describe what I am doing first. My senior project team is developing a web application that will wind up using SQL Server for the database. We are writing it in ASP.net and developing the database on SQL Server Express. My job is to develop and deploy the database. I have an ERD designed and am getting ready to start coding the tables, constraints and stored proceedures but am unsure of a couple of things.

1) How do I create a new schema?

2) I can see how to create tables in the GUI but what I am trying to do is create scripts that can be used to create the tables and objects on the actual server that our client will be using. How do I create scripts in 2005 Express? Do I just go click on the new query button?

3) Are scripts that work for Express going to have any problem executing on SQL Server?

Asp.net 2.0 comes what application services database built for you by the Asp.net team at Microsoft it uses the DBO schema, that is the Asp.net runtime uses the DBO schema. It helps you create users with a few lines of code, you have the option to use that database separately or add those tables to your database. Go to the location below in your hard drive and use the aspnet_regsql utility to create the database, then add connection string and you can add your users with the Web site admin tool. Try the links below for code sample and how to videos, the second link first section video 9 and 7 and 11 in the second section. Hope this helps.

Creating a Stored Proc from a particular template?

Hello,

I'm trying to get to grips with SQL Server 2005.

One of the things I want to do is provide members of my team with a stored procedure template that they can use which has special error handling code in it , etc

I found my way to the template explorer and created a new template that I want to use to create stored procedures in certain circumstances (but not ALL circumstances)

But now I can't figure out how to specify WHICH template to use when creating a stored procedure.

Like, when I click on the Programmability/Stored Procedures node and then right click and select New Stored Procedure... it just uses the Basic Template.. but I'd like to be able to elect to use my alternative template to create the stored proc.

So, what are the correct steps to follow? do i just double click my new template in Template Explorer? And then have to go Query/Specify Values for Template Parameters ? Or what?

If this is the way to do it then it seems very clunky really....

Thanks

You can create procedures by double-clicking on the template. Or you may just drag-and-drop any template into the body of any query.

creating a standard template for dev team

I want to create a standard look and feel for my reports. I can do this from
the style perspective by editing the xml file.
But how can I create a template report that always has headers and footers
and has standard contents within them such as print date\time, page count
and a logo ?
Is there an external way of doing this or will it always have to be done in
code so that when a report is being previwed or printed, I edit the report
and add the appropriate code ?
thanks
BObHi Bob.
What I ended up doing was using the designer to build my standard look and
feel (one for portrait, one for landscape and one for charts), then save
them off to the Report Designer templates folder.
